We need to talk about mental illness.
Multiple tragedies were the catalyst for this campaign. Sandyhook. The suicide of a Senator’s son. We targeted 18-24 year olds, the age that has the highest number of young adults that are suffering from mental illness. We discovered that they felt ‘alone’ and had no one to talk to. And just talking about it, starts the healing journey.
We filmed teens that suffered from mental illness and were willing to share their story. We created a Tumblr-based community where they could share their personal stories, their struggles, their tragedies, their stories of recovery or hope. It was a safe space for them to talk about it.
The campaign had amazing results and there was a dramatic increase in calls to the helpline following the campaign launch.
There is nothing more rewarding in this business than doing work that makes a difference.

‘Everyone Deserves a Dream’ | :60 TV
This film was based on the idea that everyone deserves a dream. But those who suffer with mental illness, find it hard to be hopeful for the future. We encouraged them to talk—about their dreams, their mental illness, their pain, their hope. Talking can begin the healing process.
